Let’s say you’re working out. On a weight loss mission. On a mission to get in shape….. A health goal…
As you’re doing those hated burpies, pushups, or just running up a hill….
What are the words in your head?
“This is too hard…..”
“I can’t do one more…”
“I’m too old for this…”
“I’m too fat for this…”
“I’m going to die….”
What if you flipped those thoughts?
“I am STRONG”
“I CAN do ONE more rep.”
“My body can handle more than I think it can”
“I’m getting better and better every day”
“I’m getting fitter every day – just. One. more. Step”
Stretch your mind – your words – your thoughts = stretch your goals – your results – your boundaries.
If we keep using those words – the limiting ones – the thoughts that make us quit instead of doing ONE more – do you think our boundaries of what we THINK we can do will ever stretch?
It’s how you finally get OUT of the box you’ve created for yourself – but stretching beyond what you THINK you can do.
Same goes for any aspect of our lives.
